The variety belongs to the hordeiforme variety (melanopus). The plant is short-stemmed, 52–80 cm tall, with a semi-erect bush. The white spike is pyramidal in shape, medium-dense or dense, with black awns longer than the spike. The grain is elongated, yellow, vitreous, and the thousand kernel weight is 38–47 g.

The growing season of the variety lasts from 74 to 87 days. The variety possesses high drought tolerance and high resistance to lodging. It is resistant to leaf rust; under field conditions, it is slightly affected by powdery mildew, root rot, and septoria, but is highly susceptible to common bunt and loose smut.

The protein content in the grain ranges from 13.5% to 18.5%, the vitreousness index is 76–91%, and the gluten index is 95–96. The variety is used for the production of high-quality pasta and as an improver in milling blends due to the color of its gluten.
