The variety belongs to the short-stem type with a plant height of 95–105 cm. The growing season is 273–290 days. The spike is awned, cylindrical, dense, intense red in color, and non-pubescent.

The plant possesses high resistance to lodging and grain shattering, and is moderately resistant to pre-harvest sprouting. Frost resistance and winter hardiness are assessed as medium. The variety shows high resistance to Septoria and various types of smut; resistance to powdery mildew and rusts is medium.

The grain meets the requirements of the high-grade standard. The thousand kernel weight is 43.1–47.2 g, test weight is 795–826 g/l. Protein content is in the range of 13.5–16.1%, gluten content is 29.4–33.9%.
