The Donduro variety is a modern breeding selection adapted to the climatic conditions of the Mediterranean region. In comparative field trials, the variety demonstrated high yield, exceeding the performance of varieties such as Vitron and Simeto.

Morphologically, the variety belongs to semi-dwarf wheat types. Among the identification characteristics, the absence or very weak anthocyanin coloration of the coleoptile is noted. The variety is actively used in physiological studies aimed at investigating the influence of nutritional conditions and water supply on spike fertility and yield.
