The Dritto variety is an object of genetic research into glutenin protein composition and its influence on baking properties. The genotype is characterized by the presence of specific high- and low-molecular-weight glutenin subunits.

In laboratory tests, the variety demonstrates the ability to achieve a larger loaf volume compared to control samples. Agronomic indicators, such as plant height, disease resistance, and maturity group, are not recorded in open publications.
