The variety is a product of the INRA breeding program. Genetically, it is related to breeding lines such as Agathe / Creso. In scientific literature, the variety is used as an object for studying the characteristics of glutenin proteins and the refixation of respiratory CO2 during ear photosynthesis.

The plant possesses adaptation to conditions of moderate water deficit and relative resistance to low temperatures. The variety has been investigated for the composition of high-molecular-weight glutenin subunits, which affect the quality of semolina for pasta production.
