The spring durum wheat variety is characterized by average resistance to lodging. Studies note moderate field resistance to leaf rust, as well as susceptibility to powdery mildew and Fusarium head blight. The plant may be less competitive against weeds than some soft wheat varieties.

The grain of the variety is distinguished by high SDS sedimentation values, protein and gluten content, and vitreousness, which is why it is used as a reference sample for quality assessment. Yield and grain quality indicators depend on adherence to agronomic practices and tillage systems.
