The Durtres variety is a representative of the Triticum durum Desf. crop. The plant is of the semi-dwarf type and is characterized by being short. Under the agro-climatic conditions of the Altai Territory, the variety shows signs of early maturity, although conflicting data regarding its ripening periods may be found in some studies.
Due to its characteristics, the variety successfully adapts to conditions that allow it to escape the peak of stem rust infection. The intended use of the variety conforms to standards for durum wheat and involves use in the food industry, in particular, for the production of pasta.
