The variety was obtained in Italy through breeding and crossing of the Creso and Khorasan varieties. The plant is characterized by a short stem, which makes it more technologically suitable for harvesting compared to tall traditional varieties. It is used in the food industry to create blends that increase the nutritional value and taste qualities of pasta.

Studies classify the variety as sensitive to waterlogging of the soil during the germination period. When grown with a reduced seeding rate of about 48 seeds per square meter, the variety demonstrates high tillering and the formation of large, fertile ears.
