The variety is productive, and the grain possesses a high content of protein and gluten, making it suitable for the production of pasta and groats. In scientific research, the variety demonstrates a high "Mexican Index" (MI).

Kuchumovka possesses group resistance to major wheat diseases. The variety is widely used in breeding programs for studying combining ability and the inheritance of productivity traits when creating new lines of spring durum wheat.
