The variety is a semi-dwarf wheat form. In breeding work, it is often used as a recurrent parent in crosses with wild relatives, which allows for increasing protein content and improving the genetic characteristics of the progeny.
In comparative studies of Italian wheat genotypes, this variety is inferior to some other varieties in terms of gluten index and pasta-making properties of the grain. The main significance of the variety lies in its use in breeding programs to create new lines resistant to powdery mildew.
