The variety is intended for the production of pasta, couscous, and semolina. During its period of active use, it was distinguished by high protein content, gluten strength, and a bright yellow color of the finished products.

The variety was widely used as a parent line for the creation of new wheat lines, in particular for studying genetic resistance to soil salinity through Nax2 genes. In current conditions, it has been replaced by higher-yielding and more resistant varieties and is more often encountered in research as a reference object.
