The variety belongs to durum wheat (Triticum durum) intended for the production of pasta and groats. The plant is characterized as short-stemmed (semi-dwarf), which was its key feature during the period of its introduction into agricultural practice.

In the professional environment, the variety was evaluated as unsuitable for industrial processing due to the low quality of pasta products. Under conditions of severe drought, the yield of the variety decreased. In modern scientific papers, the variety is found in genetic samples when studying resistance to rust.
