The variety is characterized as moderately susceptible to Fusarium head blight, which is a relatively better indicator compared to other Italian varieties. Research confirms high stability of biological and nominal plant yield across a wide range of growing conditions, as well as its adaptability to nitrogen and water deficiency.

The grain of the variety possesses high vitreousness and protein content. In scientific research, Tiziana is used for analysis of viscoelastic properties of dough and gluten content using the GlutoPeak device. The variety is intended primarily for processing in the pasta industry.
