The variety was bred by Bulgarian breeders at the Field Crops Institute in Chirpan. During field trials, the average yield of the variety was about 4.57 t/ha. The grain has a high test weight of about 79.3 kg and a thousand kernel weight averaging 48.3 g.

The variety is intended for food use, in particular for the production of pasta and semolina.
