The variety has a pedigree combination of ((Turchia77 × 3) × Jori) × (Anhinga × Flamingo). The plant is characterized by a short stem and a compact spike with black awns. The grain of the variety is oval-shaped and large in size.

The variety is distinguished by high resistance to lodging, drought, and infection by all types of rust. Due to its characteristics, it was used as an elite genotype in durum wheat breeding programs and was among the cultivated varieties in Spain during the 2004–2005 period.
