Continental tulip belongs to the Triumph class. Its flowers have a goblet shape and are distinguished by a rich dark purple or dark maroon color with a velvety sheen. The height of the peduncles ranges from 40 to 60 cm, with strong stems, often with dark pigment in the upper part.

The variety blooms in mid-season, in April or May. The plant possesses good resistance to adverse weather conditions, such as wind and rain. Continental is used in ornamental gardening for landscaping flower beds, borders, container cultivation, and is also suitable for cut flowers.
