The variety belongs to the late double tulip group. The densely double peony-shaped flower reaches a diameter of 10–12 cm when fully open. The petal color is orange-red; the outer petals may have a greenish hue. The peduncle height is 40–45 cm, and the foliage is dark green and dense.
The variety is late-flowering, with a flowering period in April–May. It prefers sunny areas with protection from wind, and well-drained, fertile soils. It is suitable for cultivation in open ground, containers, and for cutting. Data on forcing suitability is contradictory.
