The Oviedo variety belongs to the group of fringed tulips. The color of the flower is predominantly white, complemented by purple or purple-pink shades. The edges of the petals have a pronounced serrated or needle-like fringe.
The average height of the plant is about 60 cm. The variety is a source material for obtaining mutants, such as Albacete and White Sparkle. Flowering occurs in the spring period, typical for late tulip groups.
