The Orca tulip variety belongs to the class of double early tulips. This plant reaches a height of 20 to 50 cm with double peony-shaped, cup-like flowers, with a diameter of 6–10 cm. The petals have a wavy edge and a bright orange color, sometimes with a yellow base or red shades. The variety has a light fragrance.
The plant is characterized by strong stems, wind resistance, and winter hardiness. Flowering occurs in April–May. The variety is suitable for forcing, use in bouquets, where it lasts about a week, and for landscape compositions. Under favorable conditions, the variety can form more than one flower stalk per bulb.
