The variety belongs to the fringed tulip group. Its key feature is the shape of the petals with a pronounced fringe along the edge.
The flowers are single, 6.5–7 cm in height. The coloration is bicolored: the primary pink-blue tone is combined with a white fringe along the edge of the petals, complemented by streaks of another color.
The plant is used as an ornamental for cultivation in open ground, in flower beds and in containers, as well as for cutting into bouquets.
