The variety belongs to the Darwin hybrid group and is a mutation of the classic variety «Apeldoorn». The plant reaches a height of 55–60 cm and possesses strong stems characteristic of this group.
The flowers are bright red with a yellow center and have an unusual shape due to deeply incised, "fringed" petal edges. The variety blooms in mid-to-late season, from April to May.
The plant is versatile in use, suitable both for landscape gardening and for cutting. It is distinguished by resistance to weather conditions in the open field and, with proper care, is capable of perennial blooming.
