The Salmon Gem tulip belongs to the group of botanical tulips and reaches a height of 15–20 cm. Flowering occurs in mid-spring, from April to early May. The plant forms narrow grey-green foliage and small flowers with a diameter of about 6 cm with pointed, curved petals of a salmon-pink shade with a golden base.

The variety has high winter hardiness, drought tolerance, and resistance to Verticillium wilt. The plant is perennial, capable of naturalizing and forming clumps, which makes it unnecessary to dig up bulbs annually. Suitable for cultivation in rock gardens, borders, and containers.
