The variety is a mutant of the Viking tulip and belongs to the Double Early group. The plant is characterized as compact, with a flower height or size of approximately 3.5–4 cm.

The flower color is red with a yellow margin; the form is double. Descriptions of the petals mention their feathered or patterned nature.

Due to its compact size and sturdy flower stems, the variety is suitable for use in borders, containers, group plantings, and floral arrangements. The plant prefers well-drained soils and sunny locations.
