The variety was obtained as a result of selection from a population of seedlings from open pollination of the variety Summit. The plant has a medium chilling hour requirement, occupying an intermediate position between varieties with low and high dormancy requirements.

The berries of the variety are intended for the fresh market and possess good firmness, a pronounced bloom, as well as a pleasant balance of sugar and acidity. The variety shows an intermediate degree of susceptibility to blueberry rust, caused by the pathogen Thekopsora minima.
