The variety «Heerma» (also «Heerma II») belongs to the species Vaccinium corymbosum. The plant forms a medium to vigorous bush with a spreading habit, reaching a height of 100–180 cm. A distinctive morphological trait of the variety is the narrow shape of the leaves.

The berries are dark blue, firm, and reach a weight of up to 3 g and a diameter of up to 18 mm. The variety possesses good winter hardiness, withstanding temperatures down to -40°C, and resistance to shoot dieback. The berries are suitable for transport, storage, fresh consumption, processing, and freezing.

The variety is considered self-fertile, but cross-pollination is recommended to increase yield. The crop requires acidic, moist, drained soils and placement in a sunny or semi-shaded location. The variety can also be used for ornamental purposes due to its flowering and autumn leaf coloration.
