The variety is a compact shrub about 1–1.2 meters tall with decorative foliage. Young leaves have a pink or salmon-pink hue, which changes to white-green over time. Due to the reduced chlorophyll content in the leaves, the photosynthesis process is less intensive, which leads to slow growth of the plant.
The plant is self-fertile and bears fruit. The berries are characterized as abundant but small, have a sweet taste and ripen in August.
