The variety is a vigorous spreading bush with a diameter of about 1.5 m and a height of up to 1.8 m. Ripening periods in various descriptions range from early to medium.

The berries have a round shape, dark blue color, and an average size of about 18 mm in diameter. The fruits are distinguished by good taste, firmness, lack of shedding after ripening, as well as suitability for storage and transport.

The variety possesses winter hardiness and is intended for cultivation in amateur gardens. Mixed data on the varieties «Heerma 1» and «Heerma II» may be found in the literature.
