The variety is a selection from open-pollinated Vaccinium simulatum. In official registers, it is predominantly classified as a Northern Highbush blueberry variety, although an erroneous association with the Vaccinium virgatum species is found in some databases.

The berries of the variety are distinguished by their very small size and good taste qualities. The plant is oriented toward use for ornamental purposes, while data on exact growth parameters, ripening dates, and disease resistance are absent in open sources.
