The shrub is characterized by a dense habit and reaches 40–90 cm in height and width. Glossy emerald-green leaves with a reddish border turn coral-red or orange-yellow in autumn. Flowers are white with a pinkish tint; the flowering period occurs in May–June.

Fruiting occurs in July and August. Berries are medium to large in size, blue in color, and possess a sweet taste and juicy texture. The variety is self-fertile, belongs to hardiness zones 4–8, and requires soil acidity to be maintained in the pH 4.0–5.5 range.
