The variety is a hybrid of half-highbush blueberry, obtained as a result of interspecific hybridization using Vaccinium corymbosum and Vaccinium angustifolium species. The plant is adapted to cold climates and is capable of successfully overwintering under snow cover.

In comparative studies, the variety is characterized as one of the most productive in the group of Finnish blueberry varieties. Berry quality meets the standards established for half-highbush varieties bred within the framework of MTT breeding programs.
