The Sine variety belongs to the half-highbush blueberry group, obtained by crossing the highbush species Vaccinium corymbosum with low-growing species. The plant was created for commercial cultivation in cold climate conditions.

The variety possesses high winter hardiness and is capable of successfully overwintering under snow cover. It is characterized by resistance to shoot infection by the fungus Fusicoccus putrefaciens. The berries are of medium size and are suitable for mechanical harvesting.
