The variety was obtained as a result of the hybridization of Vaccinium corymbosum variety Rancocas and a representative of the Vaccinium angustifolium group. The plant is characterized as half-high, reaching a height of less than 60 cm.

The variety is intended for cultivation in northern regions. It possesses good winter hardiness and demonstrates resistance to the disease known as "stem canker".

Saani is a productive variety, and the berries on the bush ripen simultaneously. In breeding, special attention was paid to the development of an intense fruit aroma.
