The variety NCVX1 (Shiny Dancer) is an interspecific hybrid obtained as a result of crossing Viburnum 'Huron' and Viburnum 'Chippewa'. It is a rounded multi-stemmed shrub, reaching a height and width of 0.9 to 1.5 m at ten years of age.

The plant's leaves are semi-evergreen, very glossy, waxy, with a reddish margin on young shoots and a pronounced texture, changing color in the autumn to a burgundy-red shade. Flowering occurs in mid-spring with creamy-white inflorescences, and the fruit in the form of dark red berries requires cross-pollination with the varieties 'Huron' or 'Chippewa'.

The plant possesses high resistance to deer browsing and winter hardiness down to -25°C. The variety has a strong structure and is used in ornamental landscaping as a specimen plant, in group plantings, or for creating hedges.
