The JABEGOTE variety is intended for use as a grain legume crop designed for livestock feed, particularly for ruminants. The variety demonstrates high productivity and adaptation to challenging growing conditions, including poor calcareous soils, and also possesses drought and cold tolerance.

In scientific literature, the variety is widely known for its resistance to broomrape (Orobanche crenata). It often serves as a control standard in studies aimed at assessing susceptibility to this parasitic weed.
