The variety is used in agriculture as a forage plant for green mass, hay, and silage production. In the scientific community, it is recognized as an important object of genetic research due to its resistance to parasitic weeds of the Orobanche genus.

The plant possesses confirmed resistance to Orobanche crenata and Orobanche aegyptiaca. The defense mechanism against the former involves suppressing the development of already formed parasite nodules on the roots, while against the latter, it prevents their formation at early stages. The variety is characterized by dense root biomass.
