The variety is the result of 1964 breeding. It is a fungus-resistant variety containing resistance genetic loci Ren3, Ren9, and Rpv3.1, which allows for reduced pesticide use during cultivation.

The technical variety is intended for wine production. Upon ripening, the berries are prone to easy separation from the pedicel. In the Lower Don region, the ripening period is about 150 days, occurring in the second half of September, with yields reaching 100–120 c/ha.
