The variety is a perennial herbaceous plant with a tuberous rhizome, where leaves and flower stalks develop directly from the tuber. The main morphological characteristic is the color of the spathe, corresponding to code 187C on the RHS scale.

The plant is used as an ornamental crop for open field and pot cultivation. Due to the presence of long, strong flower stalks, the variety is popular as a cut flower crop. It prefers sunny locations with well-drained soil.
