The variety is a pot crop obtained through breeding from chance seedlings. The plant is characterized by an upright growth habit, fairly low height, and short, thin, green flower stalks.

The flowers are solitary, funnel-shaped, and of a rich dark red-purple color. The leaves are heart-shaped with slight undulation at the margin; the leaf surface is green, without spotting. The variety is intended for vegetative propagation and possesses trait stability.
