The first-generation hybrid PR39R20 belongs to the mid-early maturity group with an FAO 290 rating. The grain is of the flint-dent type. The plant is characterized by rapid initial development after sowing.

The variety possesses high tolerance to head smut and above-average resistance to common smut. The crop is suitable for grain use and is recommended for cultivation in the Polissia and Forest-Steppe zones.

When grown under conditions of insufficient moisture, the recommended plant density is 65–70 thousand plants per hectare; under sufficient moisture, 70–75 thousand. Agrotechnology requires adherence to sowing dates and timely harvesting.
