LO1260 is a specialized inbred maize line intended for research purposes. The material is used by breeders to study genetic diversity, the formation of heterotic groups, and the creation of new hybrid forms.
This line is associated with the Italian breeding station in Bergamo and is used as a tester to evaluate the combining ability of other lines when performing crosses. The agronomic and morphological characteristics of the material are the subject of internal scientific research and are not provided in public reference books.
