10 August 2026
The variety belongs to a group of landraces similar to the Marano type. The grain has a coral-red color and a shiny, vitreous-hard structure. The cobs are characterized by an elongated shape, while being thin and short. Harvesting is carried out in October.
The plant possesses genetic variability inherent to landraces. The presence of defense mechanisms that inhibit the growth of certain types of fungi has been noted, as well as the potential for drought tolerance at key stages of development.
