PH876 is a genetically uniform inbred line used by breeders as a building block for creating hybrids. The line is not a variety for commercial production and is adapted for cultivation in regions of the Central Corn Belt and western areas of the USA.
As part of hybrid combinations, the line contributes to reaching a relative maturity of about 115 days. It is characterized by high white grain quality, resistance to Colletotrichum graminicola stalk rot and ear mold, and also provides hybrids with high stalk strength, root strength, and yield potential.
