The Phrdw object is a pure maize line, which is not a commercial variety for commodity cultivation, but serves as in-house breeding material. This line is used in breeding programs for crossing with other inbred lines to produce high-yielding hybrids.
The line descriptions note specific morphological characteristics, such as light red glume color, medium ear taper, and indistinct grain rows. Economic indicators, such as plant height or maturity group, are applicable only to the final hybrids created based on this line.
