The line belongs to the dent corn type. The plant reaches a height of about 246 cm to the tip of the tassel; the ear insertion height is about 85 cm, and the internode length of the upper ear is 11 cm. Plants form a single ear; tillering is absent.
Maturity indicators correspond to average values for the zones: heat units for tassel emergence are 1550, and for silking 1590. The line is used in breeding as a parent of many other lines and as a model genotype for transformation processes.
