Lupinus angustifolius L.
A fungal disease of narrow-leafed lupin caused by Colletotrichum lupini, characterized by stem curvature and the formation of sunken spots on pods. The disease leads to shriveled seeds and loss of seed viability.

The primary pathogen of anthracnose is the fungus Colletotrichum lupini; Colletotrichum gloeosporioides and Kabatiella caulivora may also be encountered. The disease manifests in two main phases: at the seedling stage, when watery constrictions appear on the stems, and during the pod formation period.
Typical symptoms of the infection include stem curvature and the appearance of characteristic orange-brown necrotic spots on the pods, within which sporulation develops under high humidity. Seeds within infected pods become shriveled, making them the primary source of further infection spread.
Completely immune varieties to anthracnose do not exist, and resistance is relative. In the breeding of narrow-leafed lupin, the resistance gene Lanr1 is used, for which identification is performed using DNA markers AnSeq3 and AnSeq4, as well as combinations of dominant genes Rcl1, Rcl2, Rcl3, and Rcl4.
