Pot culture — Curcuma alismatifolia Gagnep.

For Curcuma alismatifolia, pot culture is the primary cultivation method, requiring consideration of the plant's life cycle. During the winter period, at temperatures below 15°C, the aerial part dies back completely, and the rhizome requires storage in a cool, dry place until spring germination.

The plant requires deep containers with a diameter of at least 30 cm, filled with a loose, slightly acidic substrate, and must have mandatory drainage to prevent rot. Indoors, it is important to provide bright, diffused light with 50–70% shading, as a lack thereof leads to a shortened flowering period and basal stem collapse.

With proper care, the crop reaches a height of 60–80 cm and is capable of producing several flowering flushes from July to October. For pot culture, more compact forms with a height of about 25 cm have been specifically bred, and root system development is effectively stimulated by the application of phosphorus fertilizers.
