For formal compositions and borders, it is recommended to maintain a distance of approximately 20 cm between plants. Care for such plantings includes watering strictly at the base, mandatory removal of spent blooms to stimulate further flowering, and the use of phosphorus-potassium fertilizers, as excess nitrogen promotes vegetative growth at the expense of flowering quality.
