A method of growing eggplant in 10–30 liter containers, providing plant mobility and the ability to control the microclimate. The method allows for effectively avoiding soil-borne pathogens, such as Verticillium wilt, and accelerating the onset of fruiting due to rapid soil warming.

For successful development of eggplant in a container, a soil volume of at least 10–15 liters per plant is required, along with mandatory drainage holes to prevent substrate acidification and root rot. The ideal soil mix should be light and breathable, combining garden soil, peat, and perlite.
Due to the limited substrate volume, eggplants require frequent watering and regular fertilization every 10–14 days, especially during the fruiting phase. Given the height of the bush and the weight of the fruit, the installation of support structures is mandatory to prevent plant lodging.
Container technology allows heat-loving eggplants to be moved to find optimal lighting and protection from adverse temperatures. Furthermore, the use of purchased or disinfected soil significantly reduces the risk of the plant contracting Verticillium wilt, which is difficult to manage in traditional cultivation.
