The second key productivity criterion is the essential oil yield, calculated as a derivative of the total mass of inflorescences and the percentage of oil content in them.

The crop yield depends on the cultivation zone, plantation age, and varietal characteristics. In the Krasnodar Krai, inflorescence yield reaches 4.0 t/ha, in the conditions of Belarus — from 2.5 to 5.5 t/ha, and during introduction in the Moscow region — up to 0.92 kg/m². Plant productivity gradually increases and peaks at the age of 5–6 years, after which the plantation ages and the indicators decline.

This trait is crucial in the selection of cultivars. Yield management is carried out through agrotechnical practices, such as rejuvenating pruning, including pruning to a height of 2 cm, and the use of specialized growth stimulants.
