Pea germination is the percentage of normally germinated seeds that determines plant stand density and the potential crop yield. This indicator serves as the basis for calculating seeding rates and assessing seed quality.

Laboratory determination of this indicator is carried out in accordance with GOST 12038-84 by germinating four samples of 100 seeds each on a substrate under established temperature regimes.
